Talking art, horses and prejudice with a member of Tsuu T’ina nation

Janice was sitting adjacent to my bench as I spoke to my mum. After speaking to my mum I said hi and we started talking. She looked very elegant and we talked about so many things from the arts to the native reserves to what she does and what I do.

Then we decided oh yea we should get on with the video.

She is a native and from the Tsuu T’ina reserve I believe.  I loved that she is so proud of her heritage. I learnt a lot ( and also betrayed my ignorance lol) by talking to her about her culture and she invited me to get a tour of the reserve one of these days and learn to ride horses, an offer I am looking forward to taking her up on.

It was a passionate and enlightening interview.
